Estelle Bajou will narrate both The Wild Woods and Peter and the Wolf. Bajou is a Drama Desk and NY Innovative Theatre Award-nominated actor and composer. She has appeared on Broadway in Once and has acted with PS122, Edinburgh Fringe, New Ohio, LaMaMa, 59E59, and American Repertory Theater. Her television credits include Boardwalk Empire and Prohibition and her film credits include Steven Spielberg’s The Post, Chaplin of the Mountains (which was filmed in Iraq), and Fireworkers. Dancers from the Winston-Salem Festival Ballet will join the Symphony for Prokofiev’s timeless tale of a brave boy, his grandfather, and their quirky animal companions. Each character is represented by a different instrument and melody, from the bird’s flourishing flute to the grandfather’s grumpy bassoon, creating a classic that listeners of all ages will remember for the rest of their lives.

Between the two concerts, beginning at 3 p.m. a variety of child-friendly activities will take place in the lobby. Guests will have the opportunity learn take part in a variety of hands on activities, arts and crafts, and more! They also will be able to hold, play, and learn about instruments at an instrument petting zoo. Pre-concert activities are included in the price of the concert ticket.
