WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (April 27, 2016) –The Winston-Salem Symphony Premiere Strings and Youth Philharmonic along with the Academy of Music and Arts (a partnership with The Salvation Army of Greater Winston-Salem) will perform a free concert on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 7 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall on the campus of Wake Forest University. Selections From Noted American Composers to Accompany Mahler’s Fourth Symphony

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (NOVEMBER 3, 2015) – The Winston-Salem Symphony and Music Director Robert Moody will present two Classics Series concerts featuring Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 in G Major, alongside Rusty Air in Carolina and Knoxville: Summer of 1915, op. 24l by American composers Mason Bates and Samuel Barber. All three pieces celebrate aspects of childhood memories or visions. Guest artist soprano Kathryn Mueller will join the symphony for the Mahler and Barber.

The Legion is an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity within which to operate.
